STIKMAN:(American) For more than 20 years, Stikman has played a game of hide-and-seek with the city — posting his signature characters in locations that are blatantly obvious yet obscured. These small, robot-like figures found in pedestrian walkways are distorted by every tire mark and foot step that cross them. In 2008, Stik's work was exhibited at The Foundry, a legendary East London music and art space, which closed just a couple of years later. Street artist Stik started painting his simple, but deeply adorable stick men in 2001. Sixteen years later, his line-drawn murals can be spotted on walls all over the capital, hidden in doorways, lurking in the bushes, and sometimes looming over the skyline.
