Formed in 1990 to house the Charles F. Tunnicliffe collection, Oriel Môn is an art gallery and museum at the heart of Anglesey. Oriel Môn changes lives by caring for, interpreting and promoting Anglesey's unique heritage and culture. It seeks to inspire creativity, and to provide learning opportunities and enjoyment for everyone. Oriel Ynys Môn. The linchpin of Anglesey's visual-arts scene, the 'Anglesey Gallery' features temporary art exhibitions; a History Gallery exploring the island's past and role in the Roman invasion; licensed cafe Blas Mwy; and children's activity area the Discovery Den. But the main draw is the Oriel Kyffin Williams: exhibits change regularly You can view the 'Art as Antidote' exhibition until 31 October, and admission is free. Oriel Môn will be open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Customers will be expected to adhere to the safety procedures whilst on site. Cafe Dewi Oriel Môn's serving hours will be 10am to 3.45pm (last booking 3.15pm). The Llyn Cerrig Bach Iron Age Hoard. The Llyn Cerrig Bach hoard consists of over a hundred and fifty items of bronze and iron discovered at the Cors yr Ynys bog at the southern margin of Llyn Cerrig Bach, a small lake in the north-west of Anglesey. The items were discovered at the time of the Second World War during the construction of the RAF Caffi Bach y Bocs at Oriel Môn. Caffi Bach Y Bocs is open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00am - 4:30pm. Breakfast served 10:00 - 11:30am and Lunch 12:00 - 2:00pm. Drinks and cakes are served all day. Caffi Bach Y Bocs do not take reservations but do require group bookings for 10+ people.
