The lines of the oars sketch an elegant V in the air, which is repeated over and over as the slender boat cuts through the water. Jeanne Gang thought about such movement when she started designing the WMS Boathouse at Clark Park in Chicago. The Eleanor Boathouse at Park 571 is one of two boathouses on the Chicago River designed by Studio Gang. Like its sister project, the WMS Boathouse at Clark Park, the Eleanor Boathouse creates another crucial access point along the river's edge—this time, on the south branch of the river, serving Chicago's South Side communities. Studio Gang Architects (SGA) is pleased to announce the completion of the WMS Boathouse at Clark Park along the north branch of the Chicago River. Designed and built by SGA, the state-of-the-art Studio Gang completes a second public boathouse along the Chicago River. As the first snow of the season fell, a large crowd gathered along a quiet bend in the South Branch of the Chicago River Studio Gang Architects (SGA) is pleased to announce the completion of the WMS Boathouse at Clark Park along the north branch of the Chicago River.
