The Tara Brooch is an Irish Celtic brooch, dated to the late-7th or early-8th century. and in part resemble those on the 8th-century Moylough Belt-Shrine and Ardagh Chalice (8 and 9th-centuries). The combination of red and blue glass is unusual for the period.
