MGM Television was established on June 30, 1956 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer under Loews, Inc. It was initiated to have MGM to distribute 770 of its films, 900 shorts, produce network series, and acquire TV stations after its first program, The M-G-M Parade, was canceled by ABC in the spring. The M-G-M Parade first used the 1953 version of Jackie at Visuals: This is a redone and more realistic version of the previous Fox Searchlight Pictures logo, based on the structure of the 2009-2020 20th Century Fox logo. This time, it is in a dark/ orange evening environment. Palm trees can be seen at the bottom at the start (as well as the addition of the Hollywood sign on the hills), three searchlights are deleted, and the right searchlight is A Tale of Two Cities (1935) Wife vs. Secretary (1936) Moonlight Murder (1936) The Unguarded Hour (1936) Fury (1936) San Francisco (1936) San Fransico (1936, A) Quo Vadis (1951). A variation of this was used as the default main title background for MGM films in the 1930s and 1940s. Metro Pictures Corporation was founded on June 23, 1915, by Richard A. Rowland (1880-1947) and Louis B. Mayer (1884-1957), and started out distributing films produced by Solax Studios. However, Mayer left the studio soon after operations began to form his own company, Louis B. Mayer Pictures Corporation, in 1918.
