Sri Kandaswamy Kovil (Koil/ Temple) in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur also known as Scott Road Temple, is a Saivite (A branch of Hinduism that worships Shiva/ Siva as the supreme being) temple for the Ceylon Hindu Community, founded in 1902. The Kalamandapam or Kala Hall which is just next to the temple, is used hold wedding ceremonies and other events. This temple, fronted by an elaborate modern gopura (gateway), was founded by the Sri Lankan community in 1909 as a place to practise Shaiva Siddhanta, a major Hindu sect popular with the diaspora community.
