Try this 8.4-km circular trail near Tremadog, Gwynedd. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 1 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Starting from Porthmadog, this short walk explores the twin summits of Moel-y-Gest (Pen Llŷn) which lie west of the town centre. The route can involve some scrambling, but this is avoidable as the hill has many paths which offer easier options.
