Klosterhof Medingen stud, where De Niro had stood and where he also lived out his retirement, revealed De Niro, 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, is referred to as "the embodiment of the Hanoverian stallion." De Niro is an exceptional stallion of superlative type and performance. He is a wonderful combination of the best bloodlines of Oldenburg and Trakehner, with a dash of Thoroughbred, insuring success as a sire of noble sport horses. The Hanoverian horse breed is a versatile and highly esteemed breed originating from Germany. Here is a breed overview: Weight range: Hanoverians typically weigh between 1,100 and 1,400 pounds (500 to 635 kilograms). Height range: Hanoverians stand tall, ranging from 15.3 to 17.2 hands (63 to 70 inches or 160 to 178 centimeters) at the withers. The Hanoverian branded De Noir is by De Niro out of Maharani (by Matcho AA x Akut) and is 13-year olds. He was initially licensed with the Hanoverian society in 2002 and became the champion of the 2003 Danish warmblood stallion licensing. De Niro (Donnerhall/Akzent II). De Niro's sire, Donnerhall, holds the highest dressage breeding value index (271) of all stallions.He placed second among 70 stallions at his performance test and went on to become DLG Champion in 1986. Donnerhall won more than 65 FEI Level and Grand Prix competitions and competed successfully until he was retired at 17-years of age.
