Londin was largely self-taught and began playing drums when he was 15, forming a rhythm section with his older, bass-playing brother, Eugene. Calling themselves Lonnie and Larrie Londin they worked with bands around the local area but Larrie was first signed to a recording Ralph Gallant, known professionally as Larrie Londin, was an American drummer and session musician.
