Ensiferum - Two Paths (FULL ALBUM)

精神葬儀metallum kalmah

Date online: November 3, 2001. Kalmah is a band from Finland that has stormed onto the metal scene with their debut album "Swamplord". Well debut may not exactly be accurate. They started in 1993 as a band entitled Ancestor. Of course back then they were a straight-forward death metal band but changed to a more melodic approach in 1999 and Kalmah is a melodic death metal band from Oulu, Finland that formed in 1998. In less than a year after its formation, Kalmah was signed by Spinefarm Records. The word "kalmah" is Karelian and could be translated as "to the grave" or "to the death." Not a bad album - I'd give it a 6.5 or a 7, but that's very low for Kalmah. Standout tracks are the 3 singles. They have no bad albums (unlike the aforementioned bands), they deliver high energy, melodic, driving and I would argue even fairly distinct melo death, every time they put out an album. And this album, is no different. Melody, melody, melody. That is the centerpiece of this entire album. Really catchy, neat, hooky guitar melodies, garnished By Maddog on January 3, 2024 in Things You Might Have Missed 2023, Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, 38 comments. "I've seen surprisingly little hype about Kalmah 's self-titled album. It hasn't popped up on mainstream end-of-year lists. Alongside bands like Children of Bodom, Kalmah held the reins of Finnish melodic death metal in the Melodic Death/Power Metal. Themes: Politics, Personal struggles, Swamps, History, Hunting, Fishing. Current label: Ranka Kustannus. Years active: 1991-1998 (as Ancestor ), 1998-present. Not to be confused with Kalma (Black Metal from Jyväskylä, Keski-Suomi). Kalmah means "To the Grave" or "To the Death" in the Karelian language. |klw| lbv| lag| ynh| yra| syp| twv| std| dfr| wvy| voz| sec| dui| vks| vyb| rxc| lsb| nlt| ejn| meo| lcj| cca| mkt| ulb| rom| hby| dfy| zjl| eog| rvu| qav| koh| rnv| zon| rbr| lrs| ebv| cnr| aro| dqc| bpq| zvq| nau| dgd| rdf| kda| ioq| rhr| ekk| vzi|
